IEM Mobile offers two versions of NWS Chat Live. The first version, powered by the Iowa Environmental Mesonet of Iowa State University, is accessible to all users. The second version, powered by the National Weather Service, is exclusively available to Emergency Officials, NWS Officials, and officially registered users through the National Weather Service.

In addition to NWS alerts and chat capabilities, IEM Mobile also provides access to Storm Prediction Center and National Hurricane Center feeds. Stay informed about Mesoscale Discussions, Tornado and Severe Thunderstorm Watches, Convective Outlooks, and Tropical Weather Outlooks.

With IEM Mobile, you can customize your experience by opting in or out of Push Notifications from the Storm Prediction Center and National Hurricane Center. This ensures that you receive important alerts without feeling overwhelmed.
